We typically spend roughly 12 hrs a day in our homes , stay at home
Caretakers and those confined to their homes at a much higher rate.

We are committed to educating the public on the heath risks that are present in the home that most are not aware of.
Do you wake up with a dry cough, itchy eyes, are you getting more respiratory illnesses, going to the doctor and they tell you say it’s a virus need to let it run its course , more frequent allergies events , lots of dust on furniture , do you have indoor pets ? If you answer yes to any of these question you could benefit in a whole house filtration system tailored to your household.
They can be installed on any Furnace in many different applications , they can be floor mounted or ceiling hung depending on space.

How Whole-House Air Filtration Works:
Integration with HVAC:
Whole-house air purifiers are installed within your home's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, filtering the air as it circulates through the ducts.
Increased Filtration:
These systems typically have a larger filter surface area than standard HVAC filters, allowing them to trap more particles and pollutants.
HEPA Filters:
Many whole-house systems utilize HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters, which are highly effective at removing microscopic particles, including dust, pollen, and allergens.
UV Technology:
Some systems also incorporate ultraviolet (UV) technology to kill bacteria, viruses, and mold spores.

We are fast approaching cooling season and with that come Allergies/ Mold Spores / Bacteria / Viruses.
We are subject matter experts on IAQ
( indoor air quality) by applying simple low cost applications you can effectively reduce your risks within your home. Consider filtration and UV light to provide a clean home
Environment.

Our Pro Tip :

UV-C Light:
HVAC UV lights utilize Ultraviolet-C (UV-C) light, which has a specific wavelength that effectively kills or inactivates bacteria, viruses, and mold spores by disrupting their DNA.

Target Areas:
These lights are typically installed in the air handler unit, focusing on areas like the evaporator coil and drain pan, where microbial growth is common.

Improved Air Quality:
By reducing microbial growth, UV lights can help improve indoor air quality, potentially lessening odors and reducing the risk of respiratory issues.

System Longevity:
Preventing mold and mildew buildup can also contribute to a longer lifespan and improved efficiency of the HVAC system.

Pro tip : Thermostat setting for forced air heat & air conditioning .
1.Lowering the heat temp setting by 7-10 degrees while away or slepping can potentially save 7-10 % of yearly costs.
2. Raising the cooling temp by 4-6 degrees while away can potentially save 7-10% of yearly costs. Consider using fans to help circulate the air. The trick is removing humidity and potentially raising the temp even more that will reduce wear and tear and reduce energy cost.
3. Install a programmable Thermostat and change filters as required for worry free operation.
4. Do not use set back Thermostats for radiant heat.

Dial-A-Temp Heating & Cooling can assist is selection and installation of set back stats with a full range of capabilities including WiFi options.

Regularly draining and flushing your water heater, ideally monthly or at least annually, is crucial for preventing sediment buildup, improving efficiency, and extending the lifespan of your water heater, ultimately saving you money and preventing potential issues.
Here's why draining and flushing your water heater is important:
Sediment Buildup:
Over time, minerals and debris from your water settle at the bottom of the water heater tank, forming sediment.
Reduced Efficiency:
This sediment buildup acts as an insulator, preventing the heating element from efficiently transferring heat to the water, leading to higher energy consumption and utility bills.
Premature Wear and Tear:
Sediment can also cause increased wear and tear on the water heater's components, potentially leading to leaks, rust, and premature failure.
Extended Lifespan:
Regular draining and flushing can help extend the lifespan of your water heater by preventing these issues.
Improved Performance:
A clean water heater heats water more efficiently, ensuring you have a consistent supply of hot water.
Preventing clogs:
Sediment buildup can lead to clogs, which can cause the water heater to malfunction

Dial -A-Temp Heating & Colling offers Water Heater preventative maintenance . We will flush the water heater, check the flue for obstructions and proper draft , check the main gas control for proper combustion and accuracy.

Pro Tip: Maintain the correct water temperature, turning the water temperature up does not make the water hotter faster and reduces the life of the water heater.
Consumers should size the water heater for the size if the family.

Regularly changing furnace filters is crucial for maintaining indoor air quality, improving HVAC system efficiency, reducing energy costs, and extending the lifespan of your heating and cooling system.
Here's a more detailed explanation of why furnace filter changes are important:
1. Improved Air Quality:
Reduces Allergens and Contaminants:
Dirty filters trap dust, pollen, pet dander, and other allergens, which can worsen respiratory issues and allergies.
Enhances Indoor Air Quality:
By removing these particles, clean filters contribute to a healthier and more comfortable indoor environment.
2. Enhanced HVAC System Efficiency:
Optimizes Airflow:
Dirty filters restrict airflow, forcing your furnace to work harder to maintain the desired temperature.
Reduces Energy Consumption:
Improved airflow leads to better energy efficiency, potentially lowering your heating and cooling bills.
Extends System Lifespan:
Regular filter changes prevent strain on your furnace, reducing the risk of costly repairs or premature failure.
3. Cost Savings:
Lower Energy Bills:
By improving efficiency, regular filter changes can lead to lower energy consumption and utility bills.
Reduced Repair Costs:
Preventing strain on your furnace through proper maintenance can avoid costly repairs or replacements.
4. Improved Comfort:
Consistent Temperature:
Clean filters ensure proper airflow, helping your furnace maintain a consistent and comfortable temperature throughout your home.
Reduced Dust and Allergens:
By filtering out dust and allergens, clean filters contribute to a more comfortable and healthy living environment.

Dial-A-Temp Heating & A/C suggests replacing furnance filters every 1-3 three months depending on type and efficiency of the filter .
During our 10 point inspection we will inspect the filter and will be able to tell if the filter is correct for your home and if the filter has failed and you now have a dirty cooling coil.
