We ordered a swing. A slide showed up instead.🧐Naturally, that turned into a clubhouse renovation because who wants to try to return a slide to Amazon?!?

With our kids getting older, we took out the second floor of their clubhouse to give them more room to play, and the unexpected slide became part of the upgrade!

They’re already having a blast, and with Michigan winter coming (We’re sorry, it’s true!), we’re glad they have a place to burn off some energy indoors! 🛠️

WHY WAIT TO PAINT?!?

Why leave the wood natural when the plan is to paint it black? Because it’s PRESSURE TREATED wood, and it needs time to dry first!

The homeowners are patiently waiting about 6 months before painting this custom awning! For now, we love the contrast of the natural wood with the black metal roof—and the photo gives us a peek at what’s to come!

The past few weeks at Backler Homes have been all about the work you don’t always see in the pretty finished photos!

We’ve recently wrapped up deck and roof repairs, drywall repairs and a basement playroom.

Now we’re moving on to a master bathroom remodel, custom primary closet and custom porch awning. We’re so excited to see these ones come together!
