Media Bros

Media Bros Media Bros was founded with a scientifically engineered approach to improve existing extraction technologies. Thus, Media Bros was born. Innovation is our thing.

We are a group of chemical engineers, mechanical engineers, scientists, professional extractors, and growers. Our Story
Born from Necessity, Driven by Passion

Media Bros was conceived out of a genuine need within the cannabis industry. Our founder, an experienced extractor, faced the limitations of existing tools and techniques. He found that the available products failed to meet the quality and

taste expectations of his customers. In particular, the powder media for color remediation in cannabis extraction was messy, hazardous, and inefficient, causing frequent downtimes and frustrations. Standing in front of his extraction rig, a vision crystallized: to form a team of dedicated individuals who would tirelessly search the globe, like legendary strain hunters, for the best media and tools to produce the highest quality dabs. We pulled together a diverse crew of chemical engineers, mechanical engineers, scientists, professional extractors, and growers, all passionate about innovation. In our quest, we found that granular media was far superior to powder media. So, we introduced granular media to the processing industry, making us the pioneers of this game-changing product. It’s not something that happens overnight—it’s a process of constant invention, testing, retesting, and fine-tuning. We’re all about embracing failure so you don’t have to, always aiming for excellence. Our focus on performance, quality, and efficiency drives us to keep improving extraction technologies and customer experiences. Founded in Portland, Oregon, Media Bros is more than just a company. We are your partners in success, offering fast response times, a deep knowledge base, and practical information for every level of expertise. We pride ourselves on our values, putting the needs of our customers ahead of 'corporate' interests. By helping you succeed, we believe you’ll keep coming back. Join us as we continue to grow and revolutionize the cannabis extraction industry. We are Media Bros—here to hook you up, advise, educate, and engage.

Hey Bros!

Let's be honest here, who doesn't like close-ups 🕵️‍♂️?

Pictured here is the one and only, our classic CRY filtration media.

CRY changed the game years ago when it came out. It introduced granular style media to a world full of powder. No more pre-drying, forming tight pucks, and losing your mind over channeling.

You can cut all the superfluous time and focus on what really matters: making some Damn Good Extracts.

Maybe some of you haven't made the switch to granular media, or haven't even given it a try. Go to https://na2.hubs.ly/H03W-Q20, get a free sample of CRY, and see how it can change your game.

If you have any questions about CRY, go to our website https://mediabros.store/, or give us a call at 503-308-7138. We'll gladly give you all the answers you need.

The great wall of Media 👷👷‍♂️

To start off 2026, here are our new designs for our drums and labels!

We wanted to make our labels clearer and more streamlined for our customers. You'll find all the same information as before, but with an added QR code that will lead you directly to the SDS sheets, COAs, and SOPs for that specific product.

On top of that, our new drums look sleek and offer great protection against invaders.

Wishing everyone a fantastic 2026!

🥂 Rolling into 2026.

We’ll be closed Thursday and Friday to wrap up the year, reset, and get ready for what’s next.

Big thanks to everyone who ran with us through another wild one — the extractors, processors, and partners who keep this industry moving.

Here’s to cleaner runs, smoother flow, and plenty of wins in 2026. 💨
Happy New Year from the Media Bros crew.

12/22/2025

Heads up!

We’ll be closed December 25 & 26 to let the team recharge, reflect, and maybe dab one up under the tree.

Back in action after the holiday — rested, recharged, and ready to keep the flow clean.

Stay lifted and happy holidays from the Media Bros crew. ✌️💚

Activated Alumina isn’t hype; it’s just effective.

High surface area, high adsorption power, and zero drama in the column.

It targets the stuff you don’t want ...acids, colors, fluorides, pesticides ... and leaves the good chemistry untouched.

Why it works? Well, wen it’s “activated,” the structure opens up. More pores. More surface. More trapping power.

Nothing dissolves, nothing bleeds back into your product.
It just pulls impurities out of the stream and holds them.

What you get:
✔ Cleaner color
✔ Better stability
✔ Less post-processing headache
✔ A product you’re not embarrassed to show under the lights

No magic. No mystery. Just reliable adsorption doing its job.

🚨 Croptober Reality Check 🚨
You’re not just running flower; you might be running pesticide failures that you won’t find out about until the COA drops and the whole batch is DOA.

Let’s be real: warmer seasons = more pests = more sprays = more residue showing up in biomass, crude, and final oil.
And when that lab report comes back red?
You’re not selling extracts.
You’re sitting on hazmat.

That’s why G-CRAC exists.

🛑 Neutral-pH granular carbon
🛑 Built specifically for pesticide remediation
🛑 Proven against the usual suspects: carbaryl, chlorfenapyr, myclobutanil, pyrethrins
🛑 Plays nice with hydrocarbons and ethanol

This isn’t about “polishing” color.
This is keep-your-license, save-your-batch, don’t-eat-$40K-in-biomass filtration.

If you don’t have a pesticide strategy this harvest, you don’t have a real extraction plan — you have a gamble.

👀 The question isn’t “Will pesticides show up?”
It’s “Do you already have G-CRAC on the shelf when they do?”

11/05/2025

🌾 Croptober is in full swing...and the real work starts after the harvest.
If you're running post-harvest extraction, now’s the time to fine-tune your filtration stack and ensure your product comes out clean, consistent, and premium.

Meet Silica 60A, a highly polar, neutral-pH filter media designed for effective color remediation and compound separation in both hydrocarbon and ethanol systems.

🔹 Ideal for inline CRC use (1–10% m/m)
🔹 Enhances clarity + visual appeal
🔹 Removes unwanted compounds while protecting cannabinoids & terpenes
🔹 Works seamlessly in both BHO & ethanol extraction workflows

Croptober is temporary.
Quality extracts are what your brand is judged on throughout the year.

🍂 Croptober’s got us baked...

Harvest is stacked, ovens are fired up, and we’re deep in that season where getting baked and baking are pretty much the same thing. Call it efficiency.

Here’s to fall flavors, full trays, and runs so clean they deserve seconds. 🥧💨

"The original idea of media bros grew from the needs of processors within the cannabis industry. The loose concept was that if there was a single high-value step or tool that could be added to the extraction process, it could be found and implemented. Prior to the formation of media bros, I had used all the available tools and felt that the products and techniques failed to achieve the product quality and taste my customers were after. As an example, using media for color remediation in cannabis extraction. How to make the tastiest and highest quality dabs from the vast excess of flower that could not be sold as top-shelf bud.

There are practical issues with handling media. All the offerings prior to media bros were powder and complicated to handle and use. They would often create a mess, a dust hazard, clog my equipment, and cause excessive downtime in my process.

Standing in front of my extraction rig in need of something more, the concept of media bros crystallized.

The concept: form a team of bros who would go endlessly searching the planet, like the strain hunters of legend, to find the next best media or tool to make the tastiest dabs and share that knowledge within the network.

This is how media bros formed and continues to grow in popularity to this day.

Today, the team at media bros certainly reflects this aspiration, providing high-quality media solutions and high-value consumable products that support the real needs of the cannabis processing industry."

Even if you’re running a clean operation — using organic inputs, living soil, and full IPM — contamination can still sneak in. One windy day, one neighbor crop, one unlucky harvest, and suddenly your COA lights up.

We tested real-world remediation on some of the worst offenders: Carbaryl, Chlorfenapyr, Myclobutanil, and Pyrethrins. Same contaminated material, different media and solvents. Some combos worked. Others didn’t.

The takeaway? The right media + solvent choice can save your batch.
