$CGTX announced that the manuscript, “Phase 2 Study of Zervimesine (CT1812) in Participants with Mild-to-Moderate Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB)” has been published in the journal, Alzheimer's & Dementia. The open-access article can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/26vvrqes

Cognition's chief medical officer, Dr. Caggiano, explained, "Zervimesine was shown to have a favorable impact on behavioral, cognitive, functional, and movement domains, many of which are core clinical features of DLB. There are currently no approved disease-modifying treatments for DLB, highlighting the unmet need for novel therapies.”

Thank you to our collaborators at and our team for reaching our enrollment target in the COG0203 Phase 2 'START' study: https://tinyurl.com/22l6br3h. Impressive enrollment numbers were driven by strong interest among investigators and patients, with approximately 50% of the study population enrolled during the last six months.

The START study was designed to enroll 540 people with mild cognitive impairment ( ) or early disease who would be treated for 18 months with either the once-daily oral candidate, , or placebo. More information on the study is available at clinicaltrials.gov under study identifier NCT05531656.

with Lewy bodies has no disease-modifying treatments. Thanks to a philanthropic donation, we were able to make (CT1812) available through an expanded access program to people who participated in the Phase 2 'SHIMMER' study as well as others with DLB who met the enrollment criteria. Banner Sun Health was the first site to open in the EAP and Dr. David Shprecher enrolled the first participants.

A promising new study at Banner Sun Health Research Institute is offering hope to people with Lewy body dementia, a condition affecting more than 1 million Americans.
