Dear All,
As a business owner, I know everyone is hurting right now, but I also know that there has never been a more important time to support each other in our community. Whether it be more time spent with your family, physical or financial support to local businesses, I hope today will give us a greater chance to emerge from this socio-economic crisis bigger, better, and stronger.
Currently, I am deeply concerned about the health of our employees, our families, our suppliers, and, of course, our loyal customers that continue their support by hiring us when needed to enter their homes for plumbing or heating repairs. With this being said, no one is more disappointed than I am to have made a hard decision but to temporarily close our doors. I cannot commit to making repairs for you and will be making no appointments until further notice. All of our employees are temporarily laid off due to the lack of income to pay their salaries and despite the fact that our business type has been deemed essential and is allowed to operate, we’re not equipped with and can’t seem to get our hands on the proper PPE to send them in and out of your homes for the potential spread of what we now know is a very easily-spreadable virus. Should there be any emergencies, I have reliable referrals that I know are still operating with enough income and man-power to do so; I will happily send you their way if needed.
Though difficult to make, the decision to close was the right one to do our part in slowing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, but the consequences are far reaching. In addition to my concern for the well-being of each and every customer, I am equally concerned about the financial impact on our operations and our future; the phones are obviously not ringing as normal and income is directly proportionate to this. While currently shut down, I believe and hope that our closure is temporary. Rest assured, I will do everything I can so we can get back to work as quickly as possible.
We know we are not alone; others are facing perhaps the biggest hurdle in their lives. We are a part of the greater Mahwah/Ramsey community and our community is part of us. As for our employees, I’m going to be keeping them at home until we are confident that we can operate in a safe and consistent manner.
We will re-open again, but only if we stay strong, stay connected, and stay focused. Your understanding and patience are greatly appreciated at this time. Stay healthy and safe until we see each other again.
