🚨🚨🚨🚨RANT TIME!🚨🚨🚨🚨

I want to make a post about some things I've been hearing from my customers regarding the larger HVAC service companies in the Capital Region.

If you have someone come out for a quote on an air conditioner because its old, not working or whatever the case may be and your furnace is less than 10 to 15 years old and they tell you that you need to replace your furnace with the Air Conditioner. THEY ARE LYING TO YOU!

I'm so sick of these larger companies lying to customers. Your furnace is 100% compatible with the new A2L refrigerant (r454b and r32). They will try and tell you things like
- "Well, the new A2L refrigerant is flammable and the new evap coils have a refrigerant leak detector in them that will shut the system down if it detects a leak in order to protect you and the system" - This is WRONG!. Yes it IS flammable but its MILDLY flammable. They are just trying to scam you out of money. It is absolutely not necessary to replace your 10 year old furnace when all you want to change is your dead AC. The old furnace will work just fine.

The only thing that matters is air flow. Universal A2L leak detectors are available for all applications and 100% compatible with your "older" furnace. Yes, I do agree that the leak detector is needed, but what's not needed it telling customers that you have to replace both. NO! change the AC, add a low voltage universal leak detector and leave the newer furnace. These companies are openly lying to their customers and charging ABSURD amounts of money. GET MULTIPLE QUOTES!!!🚨🚨🚨🚨
