Update on the well house. More rocks have been gathered. Progress is slow, but coming along.

The old home place had one of the pioneering telephone operator boards in the area. The old phone was found in a house my son purchased. Byron was explaining to our granddaughter about the green glass and how they were used on telephone poles. She responded with, “What in the world is a telephone pole?”

The green glass object beside the rotary phone is a vintage glass electrical insulator. These were commonly used on utility poles from the late 1800s through the mid-1900s to support and insulate telegraph and telephone wires.
