Another custom woodworking project wrapped up for a great customer!

These under-bed storage drawers were built to make use of some otherwise wasted space while keeping things easily accessible.

Built with red oak plywood and solid red oak fronts, each drawer measures 54” long, 24” wide, and 7” tall. Everything was stained and finished with polyurethane, and the casters make them easy to roll in and out.

I love projects like these that combine functionality with a clean, finished look!

With time comes change, and I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from the handyman side of Walder Home Solutions.

I’ve truly enjoyed working with so many of you, and I can’t thank you enough for the support—whether you hired me, shared a post, or recommended me to a friend. You all have kept me busier than I ever imagined.

But between my full-time job, farming, the business, and family, there just isn’t much time left. I miss time with my beautiful wife Beth and Waylon, and that’s what led me here.

I’ll still be doing custom woodworking from my shop, which I’m excited about. The best part is Beth and Waylon can be there with me while I work, and Waylon can keep learning alongside Dad.

I’m not accepting new projects at the moment because I have plenty lined up, but I’ll post an update when I’m ready to take on more.

Thank you again for supporting Walder Home Solutions. You all truly surprised the heck out of me with your support, and I appreciate every bit of it.

📅 Scheduling Update

My schedule for handyman projects is officially FULL through late September! With harvest starting around that time, I won’t be scheduling any additional handyman work for the time being.

Once harvest wraps up, I’ll reevaluate my schedule and post an update when I’m ready to begin taking on new projects again.

To any customer I have already talked to or given an estimate, your projects are still a go!

Thank you to everyone who has kept my schedule full and supported Walder Home Solutions. I truly appreciate each and every one of you!

No job too small!

One of the things I hear alot is, "I just can’t find someone to do these small things."

The truth is, those are exactly the kinds of projects I enjoy.

Just over the past week, I've helped customers with:

✅ Doorknob replacements
✅ Smoke alarm installation
✅ Doorbell replacement
✅ Recaulking a shower
✅ Patching a hole in a yard shed
✅ Assembling a bed frame
✅ Changed a shower head

Not every project is a custom woodworking build or big home improvement. Sometimes it's just checking off those little jobs that have been on your to-do list for months.

If you've got a project you've been putting off because it seems "too small," send me a message and let’s get it done!

This repeat customer had an old, rotting porch post that had definitely seen better days. I replaced it with a new pressure-treated post designed for outdoor use, then wrapped it in PVC trim to provide an extra layer of protection and a clean, low-maintenance finish.

It's the small details that really bring a project like this together—color-matched plugs to conceal the screws, stainless steel fasteners to resist rust, and taking the time to make sure everything is built to last.

When you hire me, you can expect quality, attention to detail, and a job done right.

As Walder Home Solutions has grown, I've realized something important—I want to be known for doing specific work, and doing it well.

I specialize in custom woodworking and helping homeowners with the smaller projects that make a big difference. While there are plenty of great contractors in our area tackling major remodels and large construction projects, my goal is to be the person you call for the projects that improve your home with quality craftsmanship, completed efficiently and with attention to detail.

If you're looking for a trustworthy handyman for the projects that are too small for a contractor—but still deserve quality workmanship—you're in the right place.

Here are just some of the services I offer:
🪚 Custom woodworking & furniture
🔨 Home maintenance & minor repairs
🚿 Fixture, faucet & toilet replacement
🚪 Door hardware, locks & cabinet hardware
💡 Light fixture & ceiling fan replacement
📺 TV mounting, picture hanging & wall décor
🪟 Blinds, curtain rods, floating shelves & closet organization systems
🪑 Furniture assembly & custom storage solutions
🚽 Bathroom accessories, grab bars & accessibility improvements
🎨 Professional small painting projects
📬 Mailbox installation & repair
🪴 Raised garden beds & outdoor woodworking projects
🐶 Pet doors & pet-friendly home improvements
🧰 Punch-list items before selling or moving
🪜 Deck and fence repairs
💻 Technology setup & support (security cameras, computers, phones, smart home devices & more)
🏡 The little jobs that never seem to get crossed off the to-do list.

Have a project in mind? Just Ask Reagan! Send me a message or give me a call. Even if it's not something I take on, I'm always happy to point you in the right direction.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Walder Home Solutions so far. I'm excited to continue serving homeowners throughout Vermilion County and the surrounding areas with honest service, quality craftsmanship, and a job done right.
