Exciting news! A number of solar industry professionals, to launch the Joining Forces initiative, a push to hire more military veterans in the U.S. workforce.
For many , the transition from to civilian life can be difficult, especially when it comes to making the transition to a new career. That’s why the Energy Department and the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) support Joining Forces, which has teamed up with companies across the to hire 540,000 veterans and military spouses, many of whom are within the sector. That number will continue to rise after First Lady Michelle Obama announced that companies from the energy, , and information technology sectors have committed to hire approximately 90,000 veterans and military spouses over the next five years.
