MEALS
Free meals are available to those without power from 5 to 6:30 p.m. this afternoon at the Saline County Expo Center, located at 900 Greeley Ave. Drive-thru pick-up is available on the south side of Kenwood Hall in the dirt lot.
Saline County residents who are home-bound may call 785.714.0389 or 785.826.6511 to schedule meal drop-off.

The Saline County Health Department has opened its lobby to the public for a cooling shelter or a location to charge medical devices.
The lobby will be open to the public until closing time at 4:30 PM.

The Kansas-Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists Disaster Relief (KNCSBDR) has put together three chainsaw teams to assist with limb and debris clean up. The first team will be in the area this afternoon. The team will not haul away limbs but will move them to the curbside for pickup. To get on the list for this service, call Saline County Emergency Management at 785.826.6511.
The Saline County Sheriffs Mounted Patrol and Rescue Squad's building, located at 1020 W. North St. in Salina, is open and available to anyone who needs to charge medical equipment, generators, phones, or other equipment.
The Kansas Department of Insurance is available to answer questions about residents' insurance coverage or assist if you have an issue with your insurance company. They can be reached at 800.432.2484.

Power has been restored to the water treatment center. However, widespread power outage across Evergy’s service area may put some restoration times back a couple days

The Saline County Commission has issued a verbal state of disaster emergency proclamation for Saline County.

We are aware a number of residents in Saline County are without power. Crews are working to get power back up as quickly as possible.
We understand there are limbs in the roadway. Please call 785.826.7210 ONLY if a limb is completely blocking a roadway or posing an immediate threat to life safety.
Crews will be out for general limb clean up as soon as possible.
Some reminders:
Please reserve 911 for emergencies only.
If you have an immediate medical need for power, contact your power company or safely head to the nearest hospital.
Keep your refrigerator door closed to prevent your food from spoiling.
Use alternative means to charge your phone like a car or external battery packs.
Use your battery-powered electronics only when necessary.
Do not leave candles burning unattended.
