A restoration project completed at the Lions Eye Donation Building following significant impact damage from a vehicle incident at the entryway. The original scope was to mechanically polish the concrete and keep costs as low as possible for the client. However, after removing oil-soaked carpet and grinding the slab, it became clear the surface damage and patchwork would leave an inconsistent appearance even after a grout coat.

To improve both durability and aesthetics, we worked with the client to upgrade the system at cost. We installed a 100% solids epoxy floor with approximately 50% decorative paint flake broadcast. The system was finished with a polyaspartic topcoat incorporating aluminum oxide for enhanced slip resistance. The result is a safer, more uniform, and highly durable finish better suited for the facility’s needs.

A recent project completed at Fuego Tortilla in Abilene, Texas. We performed a grout coat and patching work to restore and refine the concrete surface, then brought the floor up to a #2 polished finish. We were recently awarded contracts for three Jiffy L**e locations spanning from Dallas to San Antonio. As part of the initial scope, we made rounds at each site and densified all concrete surfaces with Ashford as specified. We will return to complete the remaining phases, including polishing the office areas, sealing the service bays, and applying epoxy systems to the oil pits.

Another great project completed for Zrubek Construction. We started with a full mechanical grind to properly remove the surface layer and create the ideal profile for maximum adhesion. A primer coat was then applied, followed by a 100% solids epoxy base coat tinted khaki. Approximately 50% coverage of Wombat decorative flake with accented red flake was broadcast into the epoxy for added character and texture. The system was finished with a durable polyaspartic topcoat, providing outstanding abrasion resistance, chemical protection, and long-lasting performance.

We completed a polished concrete floor for Taylor Made Customs, beginning with an early application of Ashford Formula densifier immediately after the slab was poured to increase surface hardness and durability. Once the concrete had properly cured, we returned to mechanically polish the floor to the specified finish and professionally caulked all control joints, delivering a clean, durable, low-maintenance polished concrete floor built to last.

Another Onyx project we started working on last year.
We first applied Ashford when these slabs were poured,
Then we came back after all.other trades were done so we could fill the sawcuts with Polyurea and seal the floors with Ashford.
We also caulked the exterior sawcuts with Sikalax NP2. None of that Home Depot 1 part stuff.
