So quick update on solar tracker. At 610 pm pump was still running close to full (governed) speed. 2600-2700 rpm’s. To test, I manually put them back to the position they would have been in on my homemade static display. Pump dropped to 1300-1400 rpm’s and was barely producing a trickle of water to surface. This is definitely going to be a game changer!

Solar tracker is a success! I have a couple customers who swore by this setup and it was on sale for 359$ on amazon! Eco-worthy dual axis tracker. I opted for the optional self contained eco worthy brand battery to power the actuators for 99$ as well. So far highly impressed! Install went very smoothly and took about 6 hours including pouring the slab for it. Pretty much plug and play except for programming the limits on the actuators for wind etc. my personal pump is set approximately 150’ deep and I have the rpm governed to 3000 rpm. Usually at 5 pm (the time now) the sun is getting far in the west and the pump will not pump past 2600 rpm. Right now it’s sitting at the limiter at 3000! I’m expecting a couple more hours of full pumping capability to keep my pond better filled.

Hello everyone! My name is Daniel, and I’m a USAF veteran and part time rancher located in West Texas. A couple years ago I purchased my first ranch, and my # 1 priority was to get a reliable source of water for livestock and game animals.
