Complaint:
My system isn’t cooling like It used to, and the closet Is making a funny noise.

Findings:
Improperly Installed 4” media filter, and a 1” air filter the homeowner didnt know they had. The two Isues combined led to a dirty Evaporator Coil.

Solution:
Cleaned the Evaporator Coil, and replaced both air filters.

Improperly installed HVAC air filters can lead to reduced system efficiency, increased energy consumption, and potential damage to the HVAC components. Specifically, a filter installed backwards or with gaps around the edges can allow unfiltered air and contaminants to enter the system, impacting indoor air quality and potentially causing the system to overheat or components to fail.
