We are so proud of all our CSOs, they learn leadership skills to implement on-campus projects and advocate for student voice in STEM.

Thanks to the support of Consulado General de México en San Antonio and Arca Continental, we delivered laptops to qualifying students participating in the Texas CSO program at at Northside ISD.

IDRA continues to deliver computers to students in areas hard-hit by the digital divide, this time around we visited students participating in our CSO Program at Sul Ross Middle School. The computers were graciously donated by Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages through the alliance that IDRA has with Consulado General de México en San Antonio. Alliances like this demonstrate a genuine commitment of the private and the nonprofit sectors to fight against social disparities together.

Huge shout out to Consulado General de México en San Antonio for giving us the opportunity to deliver computers donated by Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages to qualifying students participating in the IDRA Chief Science Officers program!

Solving the digital divide comes down to access, affordability and digital literacy. Without access to devices, families cannot check-in on students’ learning progress and needs.

What a wonderful day to visit our CSOs Reagan and Owen at Brentwood STEAM School of Innovation!

This morning we surprised qualifying students in the IDRA Texas Chief Science Officers program with a brand new laptop!

IDRA has long worked with schools and communities to close the digital divide for the most vulnerable students and we are incredible thankful for the support of Consulado General de México en San Antonio for giving us the opportunity to deliver computers donated by Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages to these students.

CSOs receive leadership training and mentoring as they develop and carry out action plans to encourage STEM at their school. Action plans can include things like coordinating field trips, hosting science nights, starting STEM-related clubs, initiating student-led civic action projects, or bringing speakers from local industries to engage students in conversations about the STEM workforce.
