Outdoor living space re-build still looking great. Last picture shows the burned out results of a poorly built masonry fireplace (built by others) that caused the fire & gave our clients the opportunity to upgrade this space. We researched & used a precast concrete fireplace to ensure there was no chance of this happening again.

These flakes are part of a multi-step process to epoxy coat a concrete floor. For this home we are coating the garage & patio floors with our trade partners from . They grind down the top layer of concrete to ensure there are no bond breakers on the concrete surface. The finished product is an extremely durable surface that is easy to clean. Having done our own epoxy floors in the past and knowing how much labor goes into making a long lasting application I really appreciate their specialized approach to floor coatings.

This odd looking device is a pop-up electric receptacle that we mounted in a kitchen island in lieu of cutting in outlets on the side of the island. It pops up when needed, when not in use it stays hidden nearly flush with the quartz counter tops.

I have always disliked having to cut outlets into the sides of an island and appliance cords hanging off the edge are dangerous - this device seems like a great solution.

This article from the is a decent read providing a little insight into the struggles we are all seeing to the stuff to build.

It's never been more important to plan our homes to last - not as an assembly of disposable parts.

The global supply chain that brings toys, clothing, electronics and furniture from Asia to the United States each year is clogged, an enduring impact of the pandemic that is unlikely to ease soon.

Scraping the foundation site of our newest build in Spring Branch near the Guadalupe river. There’s a massive oak out the back porch & seem to always have a breeze when I’m out here.
