It’s getting dark, the lights come on, and nobody’s in a hurry to go inside.

The water’s moving, conversations are half-finished, someone said they were leaving twenty minutes ago… but didn’t.

This is where the day slows down a little.
Where people gather without planning to.
Where you look around and realize—this is the part you were looking forward to all along.

This view right here…

You can see how the home settles into the hill, with those layers of stone stepping down and the patio stretching across the back.

From this angle, everything starts to come together—the layout, the lines, the way it was designed to live right here.

It’s the kind of place you take in slowly… and keep noticing more each time you look at it.

There’s something about a ceiling like this that pulls you in.

It pulls your eye all the way up to that inset detail—layered, textured, and warm—almost like it’s been woven together piece by piece. Then those upper windows bring in just enough sky to keep it from ever feeling closed in.

And the lighting… it doesn’t compete. It just traces the shape, lets the ceiling be the moment, and softens everything around it.

It’s one of those spaces where you don’t even realize why it feels so good at first...you just keep looking up.

This bathroom is all about the stone.

It runs everywhere—floor, walls—and sets the tone the second you walk in.

The vanities float off it, darker and grounded, with just enough space underneath to keep everything feeling open. The mirrors bring in that soft gold and a little curve, catching the light in all the right ways.

And then the tub and shower.

A different tile comes in there—lighter, smoother—and it gives that side of the room its own moment while still tying back to everything around it.

Everything just settles in the way it should.

Walking through one of the more interesting systems on this build…

This home is set up to run on rainwater inside the house and well water outside. Two completely separate systems, each doing exactly what it’s meant to do.

Rainwater for the interior—what everyone prefers—kept pure and consistent.
Well water for irrigation and hose bibs, with a backup option if the tanks ever run low.

It all runs through a well house on site, with everything thought through—from the depth of the well to how the systems connect (and more importantly, don’t connect).

It’s a little more planning on the front end, but it makes a big difference in how the home lives day to day.

We’ve got a graduate. 🎓

And if you really think about it… this is what it’s all about.

All the long days, the hard work, the things you build—none of it means much without moments like this. Standing together, proud of where she’s headed and everything it took to get here.

Couldn’t be more proud.

Here’s to the next chapter—and all the good things ahead.

Not the first thing you notice… but it’s one of the smartest parts of this build.

That rainwater collection system was part of the plan from the very beginning—designed to work with the land, not against it.

It ties right into how this whole property was approached… shaping the slope, building the terraces, and making sure everything out here has a purpose.

It’s the kind of detail that doesn’t need to be loud to matter.

Just quietly doing its job, long after the build is done.

Memorial Day.

A day to remember the men and women who gave everything for this country—and for the freedom we get to live our lives the way we do.

We’re grateful for that every day, but especially today.

From our family to yours, we hope you’re able to spend it with the people who matter most.

And we don’t forget why we get to.

Long weekends were made for spots like this.

Early mornings with coffee while the house is still quiet…
afternoons that turn into evenings without anyone checking the time…
and just enough glow overhead to keep the night going a little longer.

If you’re going to stay home for Memorial Day Weekend, this is how you do it.

Walking through the details with a group of builders.

This is one of those things you’d never notice unless someone pointed it out… but it matters.

Jim’s walking through how they recess the slab at every doorway, then come back and float it to the exact height once everything’s framed. It’s all about control — knowing exactly where that finished floor and door threshold are going to land.

So when the wood floors go in, everything lines up the way it should. No guessing. No awkward transitions. Just a clean, intentional finish every time.

It’s not flashy. Most people will never think twice about it.

But it’s part of how we build — paying attention to the parts that make everything else feel right.
