At Brain Corp, we make the real world work better. Yesterday, our team took that mission out of the office and into the community by volunteering with Feeding San Diego!

We had an amazing time working together to process and sort fresh produce. By the end of our shift, the team successfully sorted over 1,300 pounds of potatoes — translating directly into meals for 338 local families!

Giving back to the San Diego community is incredibly important to us, and we couldn't be prouder of the team for showing up and making a tangible, real-world impact. Check out some highlights from our day below.

A huge thank you to Feeding San Diego for the incredible work you do every day to fight hunger. We can’t wait to come back!

The future of physical AI and commercial robotics took center stage in Boston last week.

At the 2026 Robotics Summit & Expo, industry leaders gathered to explore how autonomous systems are fundamentally reshaping the physical world. Brain Corp CTO John Black joined the AI track to weigh in on how continuous learning and advanced perception are driving the next generation of robot autonomy across retail and logistics.

Key takeaways from the summit include:

- Continuous learning in action: As John Black highlighted, deploying automation at scale requires systems that constantly improve their perception. Central to this is BrainOS®, which provides the contextual intelligence robots need to seamlessly adapt to complex, unstructured environments.

- Breaking neural barriers: The event closed with a historic live demo from Neuralink's first user, showcasing the profound future potential of brain-computer interfaces in directing robotics.

- The platform layer: From debates over proprietary data pipelines to open-source infrastructure, the industry's software capabilities are rapidly maturing to accelerate real-world Physical AI deployments.

Our VP of Infrastructure and Trust, Krystal Mattich, recently spoke with ITPro about why Physical AI demands a new approach to infrastructure and data:

"The cloud-first era was built for digital workflows. But physical AI introduces a different set of constraints: continuous sensor data, real-time decision-making, unreliable connectivity, and strict requirements around latency, safety, and data control."

When robotic fleets navigate dynamic environments like retail stores, hospitals, and warehouses, security and privacy can't be an afterthought. That’s why Brain Corp integrates security-by-design directly into the BrainOS® platform.

By building a privacy-first design into our software, we ensure that the thousands of BrainOS®-powered autonomous mobile robots operating globally are built for:

- Navigation, not surveillance: Processing sensor data locally to move safely through indoor spaces.

- Automatic face blurring: Ensuring any incidental images of people are blurred by default.

- Minimal on-robot data retention: Overwriting data locally on a first-in, first-out basis for enhanced operational privacy.

With over 25 million hours of real-world operation, we know that enterprise businesses need confidence that their operations remain safe and their data stays secure.

What happens when your automated systems truly understand what's happening in your facility? 💡

Welcome to our new series, Real Talk with Brainiacs! In our first episode, host Sasha Milovanova and Brain Corp Staff Autonomy Engineer, Sahil Dhayalkar, discuss a major leap in enterprise autonomy: Contextual Grounding.

For retail stores and busy warehouses, operational efficiency is everything. By infusing BrainOS® with the latest in GenAI and Vision Language Models, we are giving autonomous systems "common sense." When a BrainOS®-powered robot encounters a blocked aisle, it understands the context of the environment, making smarter decisions that keep operations running smoothly and safely alongside human workers.

Watch the clip below to learn how BrainOS® is turning the vision of physical AI into a commercial reality. 🤝

Excited to see Robotics and Automation News featuring our latest announcement!

We are incredibly proud to expand our research partnership with UC San Diego and Dr. Nikolay Atanasov. Together, we are pioneering the “contextual grounding layer” for robotics — the key to unlocking true Physical AI.

By leveraging generative AI and Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models, we are moving beyond simple navigation. We are creating intelligent digital representations of physical spaces so AI-powered agents can intuitively understand, adapt, and respond to dynamic, human-centric environments.

Backed by our 25+ million hours of operational data, we are integrating these breakthroughs into BrainOS® to ensure next-gen autonomous systems are reliable, safe, and commercially scalable for enterprise facilities worldwide.

👇 Want to see how we turn these innovations into real-world reality?
Join our CTO, John Black, TOMORROW at the Robotics Summit & Expo for a practical look at how we architect fleets designed for the unpredictable.

📅 Date: Wednesday, May 27, 2026 | 11:30 AM
📍 Location: Robotics Summit & Expo | Room 254 A

This Memorial Day, Brain Corp pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women who lost their lives serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

We reflect on the profound courage, selflessness, and sense of purpose demonstrated by those who gave their lives. Their ultimate bias to act and unimaginable grit represent the highest ideals of service — values that humble and inspire us.

As we honor their memory today, we also hold close the families, friends, and loved ones they left behind, including those within our own team who may be remembering a fallen comrade or loved one.

We wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we remember those who gave everything.
