Did you know? After storms over the Fourth of July weekend this year, 15,700 BGE customers in Baltimore were still without power the following Monday, and some repairs stretched to midweek. For households waiting on those repairs, dependable backup power makes a real difference.

Back in Birmingham! Our CTO, Chase, spent last fall here as part of the Techstars Alabama EnergyTech Accelerator, so it was great to return and introduce ZenH2 on ABC 33/40's Talk of Alabama.

Did you know? Alabama is nearly 70% forested, and downed trees are the leading cause of power outages in the state. In June, storms knocked out power to more than 200,000 Alabama Power customers in a single afternoon.

Our portable hydrogen-on-demand generator was built exactly for those stretches.

Big news: Emission Free Generators has advanced to the Top 50 in QBE's AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge, a global accelerator connecting resilience technology with cities and corporate partners. This year's program drew more than 960 applications from 77 countries.

Our pitch focused on residents who depend on oxygen concentrators, CPAP machines, or home dialysis. When power goes out, a city can open a shelter or check on people, but none of that gets safe power directly into someone's home. ZenH2 can.

If we're selected for the pilot, our plan starts with a deployment of ZenH2 units to medically vulnerable residents in partnership with a city and utility, training for first responders and community organizations, and the groundwork for ongoing energy cartridge logistics.

We're humbled and grateful for the opportunity to be considered for a pilot like this in a city that needs it.
