Most people don’t realize that many new apartment complexes, homes, and buildings in California require HERS verification as part of meeting the state’s energy code requirements.

HERS isn’t always about testing. In some cases, like this 136-unit apartment community in Manteca, CA, the process involves verifying that the installed equipment matches the approved compliance documentation and recording that information through California’s CHEERS registry.

For this project, we verified HVAC equipment, documented model and serial numbers, and reviewed other energy-related systems throughout the property.
