🏠 Not every structural concern starts with a set of plans. Sometimes, it starts with a site visit.

When something doesn’t look right — damaged framing, a compromised wall, foundation concerns, deck deterioration, or an unexpected condition during construction — an on-site structural assessment can help determine the appropriate next step.

During an ISE structural site visit, our engineer evaluates visible existing conditions, takes measurements as needed, and discusses the concerns directly with the property owner and contractor.

Whenever possible, we encourage everyone involved to be present so questions can be discussed together on site.

Depending on the conditions observed, the next step may include structural calculations, repair details, drawings, or permit support.

Exciting news for our San José clients! 🎉

ISE Ingram Structural Engineering is now an approved participant in the City of San José Best Prepared Designer (BPD) Program.

Through the BPD Program, qualifying residential projects may be eligible for a streamlined permitting process, with certain eligible projects receiving building permits in as few as 3–5 business days.

The program currently includes qualifying small residential projects such as additions of 500 sq. ft. or less on single-story homes, attached patio covers, detached accessory buildings, interior remodels, new skylights, and voluntary foundation repairs.
