The Pump Handle Sanitizer,
Prevent or to stop bacteria and virus threats at the fuel pumps.
How it works and how it will slow the spread of COVID-19. With the need of fuel to survive this leaves a breading ground for as the president of United States, calls it the hidden enemy. To breed and to spread form one infected person getting fuel to another person that has not been infected. As we see numbers continue to rise at a rapid pace. Without seeing a big decline in numbers. I believe it is the best interest for the install on all fuel pumps to have a pump handle sanitizer. When conversing with other company's in the fuel and oil industry that install fuel pumps. I asked what is the procedures on cleaning pump handles. It was to use bleach and water sounds like that would be great. When doing more research on bleach the wrong and right ways to use bleach the proper mix ratio. Finding the shelf life and the resistance time. (how long will the surface stay disinfected and how much contact with hands before its has stop working) after all this was found I went out to see how gas stations are doing cleaning the handles. At the gas station I have seen people put in there card in pay at the pump and get back into there cars and drive off. Not one employ came out to wash the pump handles, in fact I took a dry-erase marker and put some dots on the handles. I went back two days later to see what the outcome was the dry-erase dots were still there. Water could have took the dry-erase dots off. After all this was done how can we make something that could work and make it not destroy the fuel handles. To stop the spread of COVID-19 at the fuel pumps or any outer fungus, bacteria, and future threats that we will continue to fight. With a bunch of failure designs and test that was done over and over to rule out the best method we tried gravity flow. Because of the issues of the flammable fuel it was a fail the head pressure would take way more then needed. The need for air pumps with a pneumatic system would be a challenge with electricity and high pressure that could be a public risk. With local permits to get to install that could take some time to get. We tried battery operated pumps the build time would be way to long we would be weeks out building pumps to try and to stop the spread at the fuel pumps. We tried using other equipment that were similar but the cost is way to high to convert it over to make it work. It would not be cost efficient. The uses of UV lights the cost was 20 times higher and the same thing as dealing with the issues as the pneumatic system. After suspending all work on the above efforts we took it to the next level. With pump system with a 12 volt electricity system that we have used in other equipment installs. We can now build this systems in a couple of hours with it being installed. There is two ways that this can be installed with a foot pedal so no hands needed to touch a button keeping it more none touch free approach. Or an automatic system that when the handle is hung back on the hanger it will release the sanitizer and disinfect after every use. Were the foot pedal system gives the customer the option to use the sanitizer or not to use. Both System have been put thew multiple test to make sure it would with stand the rough environment. We are still working on a partner ship with a hand motions system that a customer can wave there hand in front of a screen and it will dispense the cost would be higher but its an option we would like to offer. We have team up with a company that makes a great sanitizer that can be used to slow the spread of COVID-19. The sanitizer has been cleared by the EPA, CDC and has been approved to neutralize COVID-19 on hard surfaces such as the fuel handles. The sanitize have been used in farming such as Turkeys ,Hogs, Cows and much more. The sanitizer can be used even around food and is beeing used in the food industry.
