1. Verify their ROC license — Go to azroc.gov before you sign anything. If they’re not licensed in Arizona, they’re not legal. Takes 2 minutes.
2. Check their reviews — all of them — Google, BBB, Yelp. Don’t just read the 5-stars. The 1-stars tell you everything about how they handle problems.
3. Ask for referrals from past clients — A contractor confident in their work will hand you numbers without hesitating. If they can’t name a single past client — that’s your answer.
