Different kind of post today. It's the nitty gritty unglamorous stuff that gets hidden behind sheetrock, but is the most important part of the heat pump installation on a new build. This new home has two Mitsubishi outdoor units. They each feed a Branch Box that then feeds 3 wall mount heads. The condensate lines are piped in 3/4" ridgid PVC with long sweep elbows and adapted to flexible line only behind the heads for easy connection with trouble free snakeable drainage. Nail plates are installed to protect the linesets from sheet rock screws, and proper blocking is installed for mounting. It's a fair amount of extra work to install these units the best way possible, and it all disappears after sheetrock.
