I normally try to leave the diesel pickup work alone but there’s just something about a 6.0 powerstroke.

Either you love them or you hate them and there is absolutely no in between.

Regardless of how you feel about them, they are hands down the best sounding diesel engine on the road to this day. And if you disagree then you’re wrong 😂

This 6 leaker lives to see another day after a low voltage event decided to damage the FICM and only fire the passenger side cylinders.

Exhaust work will test your patience. Constant heat cycles and eroded fasteners add an extra variable to the job. You can normally tell how it will go by the second bolt.

You learn tricks over the years to help these tasks go smoother, but they don’t always work. Extracting broken bolts successfully is always a big win. But the bigger win is protecting that fruit of the spirit (patience) in the process.

This truck had a few leaks and some mounting parts that needed attention. Back on the road it goes for a great customer.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes 😂

Stored energy is something that can’t be taken lightly. Luckily, trucks can be washed and vinyl interior can be cleaned up (of course my windows were down).

I had enough sense to keep myself out of the way but my truck was parked in the wrong spot. Attention to detail matters all the time. Sometimes it takes a good wake up call to get your head back in the game.

Ultimately, no one got hurt and no damage happened to any equipment but still a lesson to be learned. Complacency is a silent killer and luckily we came out unscathed.

The task at hand can and should take a little longer with safety being at the top of the objective list. See you out there and have a safe week!

Mechanic’s trucks get neglected. We are more worried about your stuff getting fixed than we are doing preventive stuff to ours. Which is completely backwards of what it should be.

I couldn’t help but to stare at this picture after I snapped it. There’s been a lot happen to get to where we are today. I had a goal of working for myself for many years and had endless conversations about it with my wife and some close friends.

Countless late nights of “moon lighting” while still employed by another company. Building relationships and letting the work speak for itself when a job is finished.

Hard work pays off is a loaded statement. Hard work that is working towards a goal pays off, is probably a more accurate way to say it.

Thank you all for being part of the journey and trusting us to battle your down time.

With all the uncertainty around the world’s current events, Jesus is a constant. Sometimes blessings and answered prayers happen much later than we had hoped for. I have to remind myself daily that this isn’t our world, we’re just living on it.

I get to meet a lot of people being mobile. Some of the projects and skills people possess to make these projects happen are amazing at times.

It’s hard to comprehend how we are all made it God’s likeness and are all individuals with different skills, talents, and personalities. I think that’s what makes people so special. All the same but all different.

Whether you are gifted as a bean counter, a great manager, one of the dying breed operators, or someone who takes pride in being the “hardest working” guy on the job; I hope you’re doing it well and loving it.

Forestry, demolition, and construction all in one day. All three of these fields put these machines through their paces in some of the toughest environments possible. It’s pretty remarkable how well they hold up with that being considered.

While everybody favors one brand of equipment or another, it’s really hard to pinpoint which brand is better than the rest. I could see a good case being made for a lot of different manufacturers. Most of the differing opinions come down to operating style and comfort.

What I do know is that I’ve seen a lot equipment owners wish they would have gone with a different brand at certain times 😂

I’ve always heard that the only things guaranteed in this life are death and taxes. While both of those are true, it sure is nice to know that death has been defeated.

It’s so ironic that that the root of all skilled trades is “service”. I mean we move from jobsite to jobsite serving a world that crucified the perfect Servant. A being so selfless that he left his throne in paradise to bridge the gap for imperfect people that would ultimately sentence him to death.

Knowing that death is not the means to an end but the beginning of the life that Jesus gifted us is something I have trouble finding words for. The hope that this iconic event bestows on believers is unlike anything you will experience in this life.

He is risen!

After eight days in Northern Indiana and Northern Michigan, I can confidently say I’m ready to not see snow and ice again until after the fall. It was nice to come home to great temps.

Most people around here probably didn’t even realize that just 2 states north of us were getting hammered with ice and high winds. Some people were left in really bad shape.

The same is true for everyday. You never know what somebody could be going through. A smile or an edifying comment could change the course of someone’s day.
