A fun one we completed this week. 37ish year old Lennox system with that didn't allow much space for anything else in this attic. Reconfigured some ducting for easier serviceability.

Things you don't see anymore. Unit from 1981 still running perfectly, short of needing a fan motor. Also a 35 mf capacitor from 1981 still reading 35 on the meter. It's hard to get 5 years out of a capacitor these days, much less 43 years!

Got a mini-split that doesn't move as much air as it used to?

In our experience, the majority of these blower wheels will get dirty after 2-3 years, even if your washing your filters out regularly. Dirt gets caked on the blades of the wheel, not allowing it to scoop and throw the air like it should, causing extra stress on the blower motor, and compressor will ramp down to compensate for lack of airflow.

Got this one cleaned up today. Unit is much happier!
