The steps we take to make sure things stay flat during and after welding. If you didn't know, metal moves a lot during welding due to the high heat input and cooling of the heat affected zone. Using larger pieces of plate and some hold down clamps help minimize or eliminate the distortion all together.

Trellises are mounted!!! These were a fun project because the build was simple, but the fit up was CRITICAL. I had a local outfit named Moon Welding and Powder Coating do the finish in matte black and they compliment and also add to the other black features of the home.

In the end, the client was very happy with the finished products and the final result to an idea they were inspired by brought to life.

The right tools and work surface can make the easy jobs even easier! Client wanted these casters welded to these pieces of square tube. Issue was, the ends of the tube were not square. Quick trip through the chop saw and sorted that issue.

Next, how do you hold a caster and piece of square tube without them falling every chance they get? Build a jig on the fixture table using bits of things laying around. That usually does the trick.

For the weld out, use the same bits from the jig. Rearrange them a little and use a couple magnet squares to keep it in position.

Rinse and repeat 19 more times 😁🤙🏼

Quick and easy jobs are good jobs! Gentleman came in wanting a receiver tube welded to his bumper for his electric bike rack. Cut material, tack it together, and weld it out. No problem. Another happy customer! ✌️

I was on a job where we drove helical piles for 2 new deck posts instead of digging and pouring concrete. The home was on a steep grade and made the original post footer get puller away from the home and down the hill. This ultimately caused the post to crack and warp. Space was tight so we had to drive the piles in 3.5 ft sections. Each section had to be welded together. I had a great time on this job and hope for more like them!

Upgraded to a new Lincoln Electric 3350 ADV! I’ve been rocking my ol’ trusty Viking 3350 since 2012 and have never been let down by its quality and durability. The new 4C lens is insanely clear! I took a side by side photo comparison from the old green view to the new 4C lens and WOW! I had to include the inside control panel in the new lens photo so folks knew it was the actual hoods view.

Love me a good morning sunrise on a job site🤩 Fixing stock fences is some of the easiest tasks one can ask for… just make sure you wear your respirator. Galvanized fumes are no joke.
