Next stop: the Wheelabrator. 👏

Caught in motion as steel is loaded into the Wheelabrator in our AISC certified paint shop.

This step prepares the surface for coating by removing rust and contaminants, creating the surface profile needed for the next step.

It’s one of those behind the scenes steps that makes a difference in the finished product. 💪

JST Beach Pavilion | 📍Sequim, WA

Today, we take a trip to the beach! Located in Sequim, WA, Finnoe Design supplied 93-tons of structural steel for the JST Beach Pavilion, complete with cruciform columns and a Verco deck. Our AISC-certified paint shop also provided primer for the project.

✨ What is a cruciform column? ✨

A cruciform column is a structural column made by welding two universal beam sections together at their midsection, effectively creating a "plus sign" when viewed from the top. These beams have an increased resistance to buckling and can handle heavier loads more efficiently!
