Walker Construction helped sponsor the Kootenai Health Foundation’s 37th Annual Golf Tournament at Hayden Lake Country Club this week!

Our Walker foursome had an incredible time enjoying the beautiful course, connecting with community partners, and supporting a great cause that helps strengthen healthcare across our region.

We celebrated a major milestone at the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation’s Nespelem Longhouse project with a special dedication ceremony featuring a new Nespelem Salish banner to be placed permanently in the rafters of the gymnasium. Team members, trade partners, project collaborators, and the crew on site had the opportunity to sign the banner.

Thank you for taking the time to come together to recognize the hard work and amazing partnerships behind this wonderful project. It represents more than construction progress; it is the embodiment of a shared commitment to creating a space that will serve the Nespelem community for generations to come. Walker Construction is proud to be a part of such a culturally significant project.

This past weekend we celebrated the dedication of the historic Cheney Depot and the official opening of Eastern Coffee Roasters. Make sure to stop in to grab a coffee and take a look around when you are in Cheney! Great coffee and a great refurbished atmosphere.

We’re thrilled to share the successful completion of the WSU Pullman Campus Safety Enhancement Project! A major investment in campus protection. Following WSU’s federal grant award, the design-build team of Walker Construction, MSI Engineers, and M&M Harrison Electric was selected in March 2025 to deliver the project.

Using 3D scanning technology, we mapped key campus areas and optimized camera coverage while balancing performance, budget, and long-term value. This resulted in upgraded perimeter lockdown controls across five buildings and 102 new security camera locations. Far exceeding the original goal of 37. Many systems were brought online early, and all scopes of work were completed one month ahead of the March 31, 2026 deadline.

Strong planning and a unified approach made this project a true success for campus safety.

This afternoon, we joined Gonzaga University in celebrating the naming and ribbon cutting of the new Patrick Ferro Center for Materials Research (FCMR) in the John & Joan Bollier Center for Integrated Science and Engineering.

The state-of-the-art FCMR facility will expand capabilities in materials development and innovation, strengthen interdisciplinary research, and advance aerospace growth across the Inland Northwest. A recent $1 million federal grant supporting the project further highlights the significance of the FCMR in enhancing research infrastructure to accelerate emerging technologies, and expand STEM opportunities throughout the region.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated construction team and project partners for bringing this vision to life. You have delivered a space that will support students, researchers, and industry partners for years to come. Congratulations to everyone involved!

At the HUB + AGC Build Northwest Awards Luncheon today, our incredible team took home the 2025 Special Project Award for The Course.

Built into the natural landscape of Spokane Valley, The Course is already making a significant impact on our region drawing athletes and visitors from across the country, and bringing in millions in tourism revenue to our community. Not to mention earning recognition as one of the best cross country courses west of the Mississippi. 🙌👏🤝 This one was truly a team effort.
