Yesterday, we proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of Appleway Residential Care in Spokane Valley, alongside Mayor Padden of Spokane Valley and the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce

Developed by Don and Edith Corson, Appleway Residential Care is a new Enhanced Services Facility (ESF) designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals requiring specialized care.

But it is part of something even bigger! With Greenacres Skilled Nursing Facility already serving residents next door, and construction now underway on Regal Care, a new Intensive Behavioral Health (IBH) facility, a unique campus dedicated to specialized healthcare and behavioral health services is taking shape.

Walker Construction is proud to be helping create healthcare spaces that support and strengthen our communities.

One of the nonprofit organizations we have supported over the years is Family Promise of Spokane, who assist families experiencing homelessness or near homeless in the region with a mission to end the cycle. They have been positively impacting our community for nearly 30 years.

On October 16th at the Spokane Convention Center, the UnGala 2026: Trailblazers will feature a National Parks theme and will be anything but an ordinary fundraiser. Tickets are still available. Enjoy a night out for an amazing cause!

The Course Spokane Valley this past weekend for the Nike Bob Firman XC Invitational. Amazing turnout and energy. There was no shortage of runners proclaiming it the best and most beautiful course on the West Coast. We couldn’t agree more!

Nike will be back for the 2026 Nike Cross Northwest Regional Championships (NXR) November 20-21.

We are excited to welcome new Project Manager, Joel Howard, to the Walker Construction team!

Originally from San Diego, Joel has called Idaho home since 2021. He brings to Walker more than 30 years of experience delivering complex commercial, healthcare, mixed-use, multifamily, retail, and public works projects across the western United States. His field-to-leadership experience gives him a comprehensive understanding of construction, from on-site ex*****on to executive project leadership.

Outside of work, Joel enjoys hitting the open road on his Harley, and spending time with his wife and two kids.

What a turnout! Walker Construction proudly supported yesterday’s Kootenai Health Summer Celebration honoring employees and caregivers, and had an absolute blast doing it! It was so rewarding to take an afternoon to meet and recognize some of the incredible individuals serving our community each day.

Our “Cornhole Challenge” was a big hit and brought plenty of friendly competition, laughter, and great conversations to the Walker booth.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to join in the fun! Most of all, thank you to Kootenai Health and their employees for continually advancing healthcare throughout our region, and positively impacting the lives of so many year after year.

We recently celebrated the official opening of the Marimn Health Wellness Center with a community block party and ribbon-cutting! Hundreds of community members joined us to mark this exciting moment. It was inspiring to see so many people coming out to the event, and a joy to showcase all of the thoughtful enhancements made throughout the facility.

Thank you to our dedicated project team and design partners for their collaboration and commitment to creating such an amazing space.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of welcoming the Inland Northwest AGC and NAWIC Spokane to a tour of the in-progress Spokane Falls Tower. We love sharing our building experience with others in the community, and this future riverfront project is a great way to do just that! Thank you to everyone who came to visit.

A very touching experience. We were honored to celebrate the opening tour of the new health clinic at Rockwood South Hill this week. The clinic will expand convenient, high-quality healthcare at home, helping residents access the services they need in a comfortable and familiar environment.

Thank you to Rockwood Retirement Communities and the generous donors who are bettering the lives of so many current and future residents and families. Proud to have once again partnered with Rockwood on a space that supports independence and strengthens quality of life in our community.
