✨Our annual IEP holiday party & potluck isn’t just about the food — it’s about the people. Each year, we’re honored to welcome back so many of our retirees who helped build the legacy of Inland Empire Paper.

From familiar faces to new ones, the room was filled with stories, laughter, and gratitude. Once IEP, always IEP. 💚

♻️✨When West Valley High School reached out for help bringing back a paper-only recycling option, we were all in. With single-stream recycling, teachers were literally taking paper home to recycle. 😅💚

So together, we created a simple system:
📦 Classroom paper boxes
➡️ All emptied into one giant collection box
🏭 Picked up & recycled right here at IEP

We’re proud to support local schools, lighten the load for teachers, and keep valuable paper in the recycling loop — not the landfill. 🌱

Today, we pause to recognize and honor the brave men and women who have served our country with courage, strength, and sacrifice.

🌎 At Inland Empire Paper Company, we’re proud to open our doors and share how sustainability is at the core of everything we do.

This week, we welcomed Senator Sharon Shewmake and Representative Beth Doglio for an in-depth tour of our operations. Together, we explored and discussed:
♻️ Our innovative recycling operations
📄 The pulp and paper machine process
💧 Our wastewater and effluent treatment systems
🔥 How we’ve reduced natural gas dependence by over 75% — saving 500 million cubic feet per year
🌲 How we’ve cut mill-wide greenhouse gas emissions by 45% — eliminating 33,000 tons annually

The tour was led by Doug Krapas, Environmental Manager and Ben Carleton, Technical Supervisor/Lab, who shared their expertise on how IEP continues to push forward with environmental stewardship and responsible manufacturing.

We appreciate Senator Shewmake’s and Representative Doglio’s commitment to understanding the challenges and opportunities in Washington’s paper and recycling industries.

Together, we’re building a stronger, more sustainable future for our communities. 🌲✨
