Today our office celebrated with a pre super bowl, chili cook off. Our team had fun with it and everyone left with a full stomach. Thankful for our engagement team members for planning this event and all those who participated. Congratulations to Chris for taking 1st place in the chili contest. Last Saturday 2 of our employees, John S. and Chris C. volunteered as instructors at the From Tutu's to Tool Belts event we help sponsor. The program is held at Jefferson College Go Jeffco. This year, they had 16 girls in class. They learned about the trades with a hands-on experience in the HVAC shop. They got to wire up a light fixture and trouble shoot a bad bulb. They got to sweat in copper by using fire. They got to see a glimpse of how Spire works with gas lines and they even got to make mini toolboxes after cutting and bending sheet metal. We are thankful for all the hands that went into making this such a huge success.

Today we held forklift training/recertification courses. Continuous training in the workplace helps improve safety and an opportunity to strengthen our employees' existing skills and learn new ones, helping to boost individual and organizational performance.
