I’m on vacation from my main job this week. I travel a lot for that job, so staying in town for vacation isn’t that big of a deal for me. I can maybe get caught up on some stuff lol. I know some people at Ranken Technical College and they needed some help. Paying jobs are awesome, but money isn’t everything. It’s nice to be able to help out when people need it. I volunteer when they need help but a lot of that is done with Carr Lane. It just hits different when you are doing through your own shop. This afternoon they dropped off a big plate of the heavy stuff for me to cut up. Knocked out drawing it up, got it approved and cut for them. I was at a great stopping point and it was perfect timing to knock this out in a few hours for them. One less thing for them to worry about. I’m sure you will see it all soon after the students get it all together. Stay tuned!

It’s been a long time coming! Horrible life changing events 15 months ago, the stress of moving to a new shop and getting it up and going almost broke me. I have questioned everything I have done the last year and wasn’t sure I made the right decision to continue doing artwork and fabrication. Four plus years after Danielle was diagnosed with liver cancer, today it finally feels like this is where I should be. Everyone needs a release, a place to be happy and do what you love doing. I never thought I would get to that again. Tonight for a little bit I am in that place and it feels great to be here.The table sat idle for just over two years, and picked up where it left off with no issues at all.

It’s taken longer than I anticipated, but we are finally here! All the major pieces are in place at the shop now. I have two big projects to do first then I will be taking orders and getting back to a routine. The goal will be to start taking orders and cutting the week of July 1st. I’m sorry for the delay and longer than I wanted re opening. Things were out of my control, now it’s all water under the bridge. Stay tuned, it’s going to get interesting! Lots of cool stuff coming.
