At the The Bank of Missouri branch in Des Peres, the renovation called for a complete interior transformation, with terrazzo flooring serving as a unique design element that helps anchor the space. The flooring not only adds durability and longevity but also contributes to the overall architectural vision of the branch.

Working with CORE10 Architecture and Missouri Terrazzo, ICS helped bring the design to life through careful coordination and attention to detail. The installation required a precise layout of the strip patterns and an accurate placement of the bank’s logo within the floor.

By coordinating closely with the terrazzo contractor and clearing the space for installation, the team ensured the craftsmanship and precision this material demands.

Durable, timeless, and visually distinctive, terrazzo continues to be a signature feature across multiple Bank of Missouri locations.

Did you know this construction fun fact?

As temperatures rise, the wrought iron structure expands due to heat, increasing in height by up to 6 inches. When cooler weather returns, it contracts back to its original size. Uneven heating can even cause slight tilting, allowing the tower to act almost like a giant thermometer.

Thermal expansion is a natural and predictable part of structural design, and engineers account for it carefully when planning large scale projects.

It is a reminder that great construction is not just about strength. It is about understanding how materials behave over time.
