POB helped bring this project to life by designing the site, securing the necessary permits, + providing construction oversight from start to finish.

During the preliminary phase, our team also coordinated the process to vacate the existing Prospect Street right-of-way, making way for the new drop-off loop.

It’s always rewarding to see the finished project come together!

At Point of Beginning, we often say that great projects begin long before construction starts.

They begin with conversations. Questions. Community input. Planning for what a community needs today - and what it will need years from now.

Monday's groundbreaking for the new Kaukauna Middle School was an exciting milestone and a celebration of years of collaboration, vision, and teamwork. It's rewarding to see the planning and design efforts that have taken place behind the scenes give way to the next phase as construction officially begins.

We're proud to be part of the team helping bring this project to life and grateful to work alongside outstanding partners including Miron Construction Co., Inc., EUA, The Concord Group, Kaukauna Area School District and many others who have helped move this project from concept to reality.

Projects of this scale don't happen because of one organization - they happen when communities, school leaders, designers, engineers, and builders come together around a shared vision for the future.

Congratulations to the Kaukauna Area School District and all project partners on this exciting milestone. We look forward to watching this vision take shape and seeing the impact it will have on students, staff, and the community for generations to come.

Proud moment for Team POB.

Our President & Founder, Scott Groholski, recently delivered a keynote commencement address at Mid-State Technical College.

We are incredibly proud of Scott and the amazing company he has built for all of us over the past 25 years. During his speech, he shares many of the core values that both he and Point of Beginning were founded on and continue to operate by today:

1. Work hard, play hard.
2. Celebrate wins and learn from your losses. Be a competitor.
3. Look in the mirror first. Take responsibility before you blame.
4. Make everybody’s job around you easier - come to a problem with solutions.
5. Be responsive. Remember to pick up the phone.

These values have helped shape our culture, our team, and the way we serve our clients and communities every day for the past 25 years and how we will continue to serve them into the future.

We’re excited to share a first look at progress on the Kaukauna Area School District Middle School project.

Over the winter months, early site work was completed, including construction access installation, box culvert construction + tree clearing to prepare the site.

With the arrival of spring, the next phase is now underway. Crews have begun mass grading and are preparing gravel pads for construction staging + upcoming utility installation.

It’s great to see momentum building as this project begins to take shape. More updates to come as construction progresses.

Major progress is underway at the Oconto Falls Public Schools baseball complex ⚾️

Earthwork is in full swing as the site starts to take shape—laying the foundation for a two-field layout with a shared central plaza + enhanced spectator experience.

From initial grading to defining field geometry, it’s exciting to see this project move from plan to reality.

We’re proud to partner with Oconto Falls Public Schools on a facility that will serve athletes, students + the community for years to come.

A lot of what we do at POB happens out in the field - working side by side with our clients to move projects forward from early site prep to final layout.

It’s hands-on work, and it’s something we take a lot of pride in; because at the end of the day, we all want the same thing: a finished project we can stand behind.

Every project has a true point of beginning and this one starts with the ground beneath it.

We’re proud to be a part of this unique, history-rooted project. Efforts like this don’t move forward without a strong foundation.

At Point of Beginning, our team supported this project through subsurface soil investigation - helping uncover and understand the site conditions early in the process.

It’s a critical step that doesn’t always get the spotlight, but it plays a major role in whether a project vision moves forward as planned. You can adjust building design, materials, and layout - but the subsurface conditions are the one variable you have to work with, not around.

That’s why bringing geotechnical insight into the project from day one is so important. Understanding those conditions early can help avoid costly surprises and keep projects moving forward with confidence.

Over the years, POB has had the opportunity to help bring baseball and softball fields to life across the communities we serve. From early planning and fundraising support to working through site challenges and final layout. These projects mean a lot to us because they’re more than just fields - they’re where communities gather, kids grow, and memories are made.
