On September 27, "The Science of Solutions: Addressing Climate Change Through Green Chemistry" event was held as part of “Yale @ Climate Week NYC.” The panel featured Paul Anastas, Professor of Environmental Health Sciences at Yale University; Walter Leitner, Director of Molecular Catalysis at the Max Planck Society Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion; Stafford Sheehan, President and CTO of AIR COMPANY; and Marcos Bitew from the African power initiative. Together, they shared their insights on innovative green chemistry solutions for mitigating the impacts of climate change.

The panelists emphasized that whether through high or low-tech approaches, green chemistry is an important piece of the decarbonization puzzle for global economies in various development stages.
