We understand that some of our neighbors sustained minor to catastrophic property damage or loss and our hearts go out to you. Over the next few days or weeks, there is a chance that some “contractors“ may reach out to you and offer services. We highly recommend that you verify their license and insurance before conducting business with them. In the state of Florida you can go to www.myfloridalicense.com or www.DCNonline.org. These websites allow you to verify that the individuals you are talking to have the credentials they are claiming they have. For my friends in Georgia, you can go to the Secretary of State website and verify that individuals credentials. Do not it sign anything or exchange any form of payment until you verify. As always, whether you use us or someone else, please verify that they are a licensed professional. A handyman is NOT licensed to do most major repairs on a house.
