Urgent Weather Advisory About Your Furnace or Boiler:
As we prepare for the upcoming snowstorm, we want to remind you about the importance of keeping your high-efficiency furnace or boiler flue vents clear of snow. If these vents become buried it can lead to carbon monoxide buildup and system failures.
**** You can identify this potential issue in your home by looking at your heating system to see if the flue is a white PVC pipe. If so, please continue reading. (If the flue is metal, then this is not a matter of concern for you. Your system vents to the chimney.)
To ensure your high efficiency heat or hot water system operates safely and efficiently, please take the following precautions:
• Walk around the perimeter of your house before snow begins to accumulate to note the location of vents.
• Once snow begins to pile up, clear any snow accumulation around your high efficiency furnace or boiler flue vents on the side of your home to make sure they remain unobstructed.
• If you notice any issues or if your system is not functioning correctly, do not hesitate to contact us for immediate assistance.
At HVAC Ready Heating and Cooling, we are committed to your safety and comfort. If you need emergency service or have questions about your HVAC system, please reach out to us on WhatsApp or by calling at (201) 357-0838.
