We’re always proud to open our doors to local students who want to see how real‑world manufacturing works. Recent visits gave them a behind‑the‑scenes look at fabrication, engineering, and the teamwork it takes to build industrial equipment that keeps food plants and battery rooms running safely and efficiently. Investing in future tradespeople isn’t just something we do…it’s part of who we are.

And we don’t stop at tours. MTC has an ongoing partnership with Temple ISD’s Career and Technical Education program, a relationship that goes far beyond a single visit. We regularly work with their students, support hands‑on learning, and have even hired directly from the high school. When we say we believe in building the next generation of skilled workers, we mean it.

One of these events was hosted through Temple ISD, Career and Technical Education, giving students from Temple High School’s CTE program a firsthand look at manufacturing right here in their community.

During their tour of MTC, students learned about our automated laser, watched our robotic welder in action, and heard directly from one of our welders about the skills and craftsmanship behind the trade. The tour was led by Joe Rela, Trae Liller, and Jake Wolf, who each shared their expertise and passion for building quality equipment.

We have some amazing customers, and one recently placed a significant order for their food‑production facilities. Our team built 12 pieces of custom food‑production equipment, all engineered for durability, sanitation, and reliable performance in a high‑demand environment.

Over three days, representatives visited our facility for a full Factory Acceptance Test, reviewing measurements, operation, and safety features across each unit. The lineup included:

1 LET Hydraulic Dumper
1 EP‑3000 Easy Picker
5 LE Stationary Hydraulic Dumpers
5 MTCB Portable Belt Conveyors

Each piece was designed for clean‑environment food handling, featuring hold‑down pushbutton controls, multi‑colored light stacks, and audible alarms for clear operator feedback. Our stainless‑steel construction ensures long life, easy sanitation, and dependable performance on the production floor.

The MTCB conveyors also include a pneumatic discharge gate to help meter product flow with greater consistency and control.

Our team is already geared up for the City of Temple, Texas Corporate Challenge, and we’re proud to be part of an event that brings local businesses together through friendly competition and community spirit. As an employee‑owned company, teamwork is at the core of everything we do, and this challenge is another great way for our people to connect, compete, and have fun outside the shop.

From relay races to skill‑based events, every participant helps earn points for MTC. Whether they’re competitive by nature or just out there to support coworkers, it’s all about showing up, working together, and representing our ESOP family in the community we call home.
