Rose-Hulman Ventures Rose-Hulman Ventures, a program of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, brings together outstanding students with technology-based companies.

For students, that means the best engineering professional practice experience possible within an academic program. For businesses, it means prototypes, refining the design of existing products, and expanding current engineering capabilities. We are located on 180-acres in a 35,000 square-foot facility in a Certified Technology Park, on the south campus of Rose-Hulman in Terre Haute, Indiana.

This supersized 3D printer is the brainchild of 3D Platform (3DP), a leading manufacturer of industrial 3D printer machines based in Roscoe, Illinois. The company’s leadership includes father-and-son Rose-Hulman alumni Robert Schroeder (chief executive officer) and Jonathan Schroeder (president). They turned to Rose-Hulman Ventures when an opportunity unexpectedly presented itself this summer for the company to occupy a key spot at the September International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago, giving them just 60 days to complete the project.

Project managers, technicians, and student interns completed a large-scale 3D printer in just two months for 3D Platform. The printer was a highlight of the 2016 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago.

Rose-Hulman Ventures is helping a medical startup break new ground in the fight against sudden fatal heart attacks, a leading cause of death in the United States.
Arrhythmotech LLC is pioneering new, noninvasive technology to simultaneously record and process both sympathetic nerve activity and electrocardiogram signals. Their work could help doctors better identify patients at risk of sudden fatal heart attacks, according to Dr. Peng-Sheng Chen, co-founder of the company.
