Why are they discounted?

• They may be older products that have been sitting for an extended period of time.
• They may be mixed lots from different sources, and are unlikely to match properly.
• They almost never qualify for the same manufacturer warranties as properly sourced materials.
• It can be difficult to verify exactly what you're getting.

Are there situations where these shingles make sense? Possibly. Certain outbuildings, temporary repairs, or budget-driven projects may justify their use.

But for the average homeowner investing thousands of dollars into a new roof on their primary residence, you deserve to know exactly what materials are being installed on your home.

Don't be afraid to ask:

I don't make posts like this very often, but today I'm asking for a little help from our community.

I'm trying to help an elderly couple in their 80s who are living on a very fixed income, and unfortunately their roof is in very bad shape and is leaking in multiple areas of their home.

I've spent time looking at every possible option to help them, but the reality is they simply do not have the financial means to cover the repairs needed to stop the leaks and protect their home.

As a roofing contractor, I see roofs every day. But sometimes it's not about shingles and nails—it's about taking care of people.

I'm working on putting together the funds, materials, and labor needed to get their roof repaired, and I'm reaching out to see if anyone in our community would like to help.

Whether it's $10, $25, $100, or simply sharing this post, every bit helps bring us closer to making sure this sweet couple can live safely and comfortably in their home.

On this day 82 years ago, the greatest fighting force ever assembled took to the air and sea. The offensive against some of the greatest evil man has ever witnessed, the invasion of Hitlers "Fortress Europe" began. From LCT's, to Higgins boats (built in New Orleans), to Dakota airplanes and Waco CG-4A gliders (built by Ford Motor Company); over 5000 ships participated getting approximately 160,000 men to the 50 plus miles of fortified beaches and over 13,000 aircraft protected the fleet and flew the 17,000 airborne and glider troops, whose mission was to land behind enemy lines, across the channel.

A heavy price was paid in blood and treasure June 6, 1944. That day there were over 10,000 Allied casualties, including an estimated 4,400 dead. These brave men, justifiably referred to as the Greatest Generation, should never be forgotten. They fought for the freedom we take for granted and they changed the world.

Today, We had the opportunity to treat our crew to lunch at Blue Ember Smokehouse Texarkana, TX to celebrate a record-breaking month in May. This achievement wasn't the result of luck—it was the result of hard work, dedication, long hours, and a commitment to serving our customers the right way.

I'm incredibly grateful to be surrounded by a team that consistently shows up, supports one another, and strives for excellence every day. When you have great people working toward a common goal, great things happen.

Thank you to everyone on our team for making May our best month yet. We're proud of what we've accomplished, but we're even more excited about what's ahead.
