This roof was in desperate need of a Complete tear off reframe from the walls up. So that’s exactly what we did!

Reframing this roof entirely allowed us to also delete a weight bearing wall and open up the kitchen/ living space as seen in the video add a triple ply lvl and spanning over 20ft!

During tear off… reshingled this roof and discovered to many rott and soft spots to count in the main body rafters as well as the hips and valleys. Turned into a full tear off from the walls up. Doing so allowed us to redesign the roof system to better protect the 14x12 foot addition that was nearly flat with a previous rubber roof into a gabled roof.
