Finished up this sourdough mixer/whisk and I couldn't be more pleased with the way this turned out especially with as many times I had to change the handle construction to make it work. Until I was asked to make this I honestly didn't know these were a thing and I didn't like any of the examples I found, so I came up with this design. It's comfortable in the hand to boot.

The working end started out as a spring for a hay baler that I straightened out and formed into shape. The handle is spalted Tamarind with steel pins a couple lines of copper and a couple layers of black GripX for some grip when things get messy.

Just need to put a final edge on this little one, I'm calling "The Acorn". Started out as a proof of concept being bored waiting for a billet to cool down, seeing what I could forge out of a smaller piece of material. It started as 2 inches of 1¼"x 3/16" 5160. This little three finger tool has a curved butt to allow the 4th finger to rest nicely behind it in multiple grips, a dished out section of the spine for use with a ferro rod, wearing 1/4" brass pins and "Pickle's Blood" Grip-x scales on the handle. I'm going to test this one out to how it performs and lasts and may end up making some more. Let me know what you think of it!

Demonstrated different style twists today at our monthly SOFA meeting. This one went a lot better and smoother than my last demo. The darker coated ones are my example pieces and the lighter ones are the ones I did during the demo.

Finished up the rose last night at open forge attaching it to the horseshoe heart base, bending the stem for a more organic look (opted to leave off the leaves on this one to simplify it a little) and then tried my hand at flame coloring the rose for the first time. Pretty happy with the way my first attempt came out, the colors look a lot better in person than the pictures show. The last few are the comparison between this one and the last one(and first) I made 3 years ago, side by side
