April leading into May was a busy and successful time for the Whelcon Contractors Crew!

Not only did our dedicated employees get to enjoy some delicious Sonoran hot dogs and tacos on the job site, but Whelcon has also successfully completed our Bonita Creek Road Repair project for the Bureau of Land Management!

This project aimed to repair road erosion caused by storm runoff due to the lack of a proper drainage system. Our team excavated a 30-foot hill to improve line of sight, installed a 150-foot concrete low-water crossing and a culvert pipe to handle water drainage, and implemented erosion control measures via gabion baskets and riprap around the area.

We're proud of our team's dedication and precision in delivering a durable, long-term solution for this challenging site.

We cannot wait to see what the rest of May brings us!

Whelcon Contractors Wishes You a Happy Easter!

As we enter this joyful season, Whelcon would like to extend warm Easter wishes to all our families, friends, and community partners.

Our dedicated team continues to make great strides on both our Butterfield and Roger projects. With just about a month remaining, we've successfully installed new ramps and sidewalk paths, along with asphalt patches to ensure smooth transitions and accessibility.

This week, we're also excited to spotlight some photos of our excavator hammer in action — a small glimpse into the hard work happening on site!

Here’s a sneak peek of Whelcon’s Butterfield Project! Our hardworking crew is busy installing ADA-compliant ramps to create safer and more accessible pathways for local residents and students.

These images showcase ramps in various stages of progress—some still in the works, others completed—and even feature our dedicated foreman, Tiny!

We’re excited to see the finished project come to life in the coming weeks!

This week Whelcon continues to work on improving pedestrian pathways along Roger Road.

Spanning almost 1.5 miles, our crew is working diligently to ensure all concrete additions are up to company standards.

View our crew's amazing work, as they focus on adding new ADA compliant sidewalks and ramps to Roger road. Spanning from Oracle Road to Romero Road, this large project is vital to making the area safer and more pedestrian friendly.

Whelcon is dedicated to making Tucson a better community and this is just one project we are excited to have taken on.
