After 15 years helping run a family business, I've learned that success isn't built during the easy seasons. It's built during the hard ones.
The moments when things don't go as planned.
The moments when you make mistakes.
The moments when you're forced to look at a situation differently and ask yourself, "What is this trying to teach me?"
Those lessons aren't always comfortable. Sometimes they challenge your assumptions. Sometimes they humble you. Sometimes they reveal weaknesses you didn't know were there.
But growth lives in those moments.
I've come to realize that losing and learning are often the same thing.
Every challenge, every setback, every difficult conversation, every disappointment carries a lesson if we're willing to pay attention to it.
The truth is, success can teach confidence.
But adversity teaches wisdom. It teaches resilience, patience, accountability and gratitude.
Most importantly, it teaches us that every outcome—good or bad—can move us forward if we're willing to learn from it.
As a business owner, wife, mother, caregiver, and small business advocate, I've learned that the goal isn't perfection.
The goal is growth.
To keep showing up,learning, improving and serving.
After 25 years serving Tucson, we are still learning every day. We are still growing every day. And we're grateful for every lesson—especially the difficult ones—that helped shape who we are today.
Because the hard seasons don't define us.
How we respond to them does.
