"Josh was recently involved in a horrible motorcycle crash and is currently recovering at St Joseph's hospital. Josh recently graduated from ASU last year and is pursuing his master's in Computer Science through the 4+1 program. Josh has always been a committed and involved member within our NSBE community at ASU. For those who know Josh he is an amazing and kind spirited person, always willing to help out in any way he can. I am reaching out to all of you to help spread Josh's GoFundMe page and donate in any way you can. Even the smallest donation can go miles. Thank you. One NSBE family as always."

On May 24th Josh and his friends were going for a day trip to Jerome when he crashed. He was then airlifted to Phoenix. He has a spinal injury, broken shoulder, cracked sternum and other injuries. Josh has had spinal surgery and shoulder surgery and is looking at a long road of inpatient and outpatient rehab.

The Zone Summit was a success which took place in the MLK room on February 24th. Thank you so much AASA and KC Kimbo for giving us the opportunity to use the space on the weekend to motivate our Black Engineers to have pride in their profession. Thank you to the special guests, Benjamin Agbo -the region zone chair- and Dr. James Baygents -the college of engineering dean for coming and speaking at our event. Also, a big thanks to Jude Coompson for sharing his grad experiences and Cherell Ward-Rucker for leading the Resume and Interview Workshop. It was a great turn out!
