Think the Chasing Arrows Mean Recyclable? You Might Have to Think Again.♻️

California's SB 343, the Truth in Recycling Act, was designed to simplify recyclability claims and help consumers better understand what can actually be recycled. The law would require manufacturers to update how resin identification codes (RICs) are displayed and limit the use of recyclability claims unless packaging meets specific recycling criteria.

However, SB 343's requirements conflict with laws in more than half of U.S. states. As a result, a preliminary injunction has paused implementation while the courts work toward a final decision.
