Hello friends and valued clients,

As we move into September, we want to reach out regarding some open invoices that still need attention. Unalaska is a close-knit community, and many of you 1are not just clients but friends. Because of this, we’ve delayed sending these accounts to collections. However, it’s now been four months since the sale of our business, and it’s important for us to close out these remaining balances.

Hello and happy Sunday!

We are checking in because we still have a large amount of unpaid invoices from island residents. We understand that life is difficult and it can be hard to make ends meet sometimes. However, we have been closed since May 4th, and we must close our books for the year.

Please settle your account today so we can all move forward. We truly do not want to involve a collections agency, but we will have to take that step if we do not hear from you soon.

Dear Valued Customers of Unalaska & Dutch Harbor,

After six years of serving this incredible Alaska community, we want to share an important and heartfelt update. Our business, Dutch Harbor Fuel, has been sold to Delta Western, effective May 4th, 2026. As a result, we will no longer be providing fuel services to the residents of Unalaska and Dutch Harbor.

This decision was not made lightly, but at this point in our lives with grandkids multiplying, we are excited to get to spend more time with them and it’s just not possible for us to have the interactions we want to with them while living in Unalaska.

As many of you know, John first came to this community in 1988. He began his journey fishing, later worked at UNISEA, and eventually went to work with the city, first at the Water Dept, then with Public Safety as a police officer, hanging up his Grunden’s for a duty belt. Serving this community in so many different ways, has been one of the greatest privileges of his life.

Over the years, we’ve come to know so many of you not just as customers, but as neighbors, partners, and friends. Your loyalty, patience, and trust have sustained us through every season, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

Unalaska is a remarkable place, defined by resilience, generosity, and a strong sense of community. It has truly been an honor to play even a small part in supporting the daily lives and work of the people who call this unique corner of Alaska home.

As we move into the next chapter, we want to express our sincere thanks for your patronage and for welcoming us into your lives. We will always hold this community in our hearts and remember our time here with gratitude and respect. We wish all of you continued warmth, safety, success, and well-being in the years ahead.

We also want to reassure you that this transition should be seamless. We have provided Delta Western with your contact information and your next fill date. They will be reaching out to get you set up in their system, and there should be no lapse in service.

Hello Friends,

I come bearing some unfortunate news. We received word today from our supplier, that they are increasing their fuel rates by 65 cents per gallon. I sent a note on the invoices today that said it was .60 so I apologize for my typo. We're unsure how long this increase will last, hopefully not long, but with today's climate, there's really no way to know for certain.

A quick additional note: Our regular driver, John, will be going off island on March 15th to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We do not have a return date for him just yet. He worked extra hard to get all our auto-fill customers filled before he leaves.

For our will-call customers, especially with the weather we've been having, please keep a close eye on your tanks. We recommend checking them by dipping or shining a flashlight if you don't have a gauge, rather than tapping on the outside, as tapping isn't always accurate. Keep an eye on your levels and give us a call with enough notice so you don't run out of fuel.

Just a reminder: once you call, we add you to the list. The driver usually follows a set schedule, so if he's already in your area, we'll get you filled then; otherwise, you'll be filled within the week. Please don't wait until you're out or down to the last minute - otherwise, you may find yourself making a trip to the gas station with a jerry can to hold you over.

Hello all! I hope this summer is treating everyone well!

Our driver left a ladder outside of 43 Armstrong and we're looking to get it back. It's a 7-8 foot yellow and aluminum ladder. It appears there were some people outside doing some work at the time and may have thought it as fair game, but I assure you it's very necessary for our driver to be able to fill tanks. If you could please reach out if you have it or if you know who may have it, no questions asked, we'd just like our property back.
