SHARKastics SHARKastics, the combination of "shark" and "plastics", is our word that describes marine debris items that have been bitten by ocean critters.

We tackle this trash on our coastlines plus nearshore reefs to protect natural resources and conduct research.

Getting my hands on one of these Bureo skateboards (“made from over 30 ft of recycled fishnet waste collected along the coast of Chile”) has been on my wish list for so many years! My final push was seeing it for sale on Jack Johnson website, and it just arrived! ⁠
