Today was the “International Plastic Pellet Count”! Our awesome 5-person crew plus Tauzer found 63 nurdles in 60 minutes in Waihe’e (where there was an unusually minimal amount of marine debris)!⁠

Here’s a little compilation of some of the debris we removed from our Maui reefs in April (a relatively low amount due to the poor ocean conditions). ⁠

Mahalo nui loa to our awesome April Ka'ehu Cleanup crew who made this cleanup so successful! We removed 6,948 marine debris items weighing 588 pounds (of mostly land-based storm debris).
