*Update on my newest project

PROJECT ”LAZY BOAT”

Remote joystick steering for my 18ft speed boat. Why??? Because I’m lazy and when my fiancé and I are idling around I want to be able to sit in the front bow with her and be able to steer and keep it strait.

For those that follow my builds I started on this last year and was able to make a “working” prototype”. The video of the boat posted are last years build. The motor was just barely able to turn the wheel and wasn’t very reliable. And the controller was wired.

This year I’ve completely redesigned the whole system. Stronger brushless motor with a 185:1 reduction gear box for low speed high torque control.

The joy stick is now wireless and will run off a battery and be rechargeable.

There’s still more I have to design to finish this up but I’m really excited with how far I’ve come with this design. I’ve learned a ton and incorporated new engineering techniques that I didn’t know before.

Current pictures are of all the prototype parts checking for fitment and alignment. I’m still making a few adjustments and additional parts.

Hide away iPad case for 80s muscle car. The design isn’t completely finished yet but this will slide under the dash when not in use to maintain the factory dash look.

New design getting printed. Swivel mount for the Holley terminator touch screen. This will offer more mounting options for the touchscreen when doing a Holley EFI swap on older hot rods.

Currently out of town doing some work at a covid vaccine site. I noticed the nurses that were drawing up the vaccine into the syringes were constantly flicking the syringe to get all the air bubbles out. There are dedicated nurses doing this all day before the vaccines go out to the other nurses administering the vaccine. I assumed their fingernails have to be sore after doing this for 12 hours a day. So I designed this simple finger tip cover to help them out. Currently making a dozen or so of them in various sizes. They are very excited to try them out tomorrow.

New design from a week ago. Friend came to me with a problem he had. He has a new Dodge Ram with a salt spreader in the bed. The tailgate has to be removed. He wanted a rear view camera but didn’t want an aftermarket one with a separate screen. So he bought a genuine mopar tailgate camera and wire loom to plug into the factory wiring harness. It worked but the camera was exposed and not aiming the right way. So he brought the camera over and 20 min later we had a design and printed it. I’ve also modified the design since then to make it available with magnets.

Yeti rambler cup holder adapter for vehicle cup holders. Trying out the Fuzzy skin setting. Makes the outside surface slightly textured instead of a smooth flat surface. My daughter picked out the teal color since it’s for her aunt 😇.

For all the hunters out there. This tree camera mount is made for the guys/gals looking to film their hunt. It’s made to mount up to the tree and extend out or around the tree for a perfect angle . 30” long when fully extended. There is also a supplied swivel mount at the end with universal 1/4”x 20 threads that will fit majority of cameras. There’s a level adjustment screw to help with trees that aren’t so strait. Two mounting options are built into the main bracket. A 1 3/8” opening for standard ratchet straps or the T mount for use with common cam style straps with eyelets. Max weight is 4-5 pounds which will cover most common camcorders or GoPros. When collapsed dimensions are 14”x7.75”x1”. Weight is 1.4 pounds.
