Xander is grateful to America’s service members for their courage, dedication, and sacrifice. We're proud to work with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. When Veterans with severe hearing loss, auditory neuropathy, and traumatic brain injuries started testing XanderGlasses, we were encouraged by their positive reactions. But we wondered: Could XanderGlasses really make a long-term impact on the lives of these war heroes who had lost the ability to understand speech and communicate easily? Would Veterans find XanderGlasses useful every day?

Almost 2 years later, for many, the answer is YES! Listening to disabled Veterans tell how XanderGlasses transformed their lives always brings tears to our eyes. What we never anticipated was how the glasses would affect their relationship with their spouses, families, and caregivers.

Video description: A Desert Storm Veteran wearing XanderGlasses shares how XanderGlasses have transformed his life over the past year. “The simple task of putting the glasses on changed my quality of life instantly.” And his hope to “get this information out to more people.”

“When you become disabled, you you’re in this void where you don't really have a job anymore, and, you don’t, you don't do anything. So when you get a chance to help another Veteran out or to do something for the community or to do something again for the country, it makes you feel whole again. Where that disability took a little bit away.”

Then next to his wife, he described what it felt like before the glasses, unable to understand speech: “When I was in a group setting and people were talking then I would just kind of fade to black because I wasn't getting what the conversation was. I would sort of would drift off into my own mind.” But with XanderGlasses, “I’m here. I'm part of it. I understand. I know what's going on.”

If that wasn’t powerful enough, his wife stood up in the audience and shared how the glasses “helped our relationship because that was something else that was lost. But we got it back.”

THANK YOU to everyone who supported our mission and believed that Xander could change lives.

Super excited by this! When Alex Westner was a kid, he subscribed to PCMag and dreamed of programming. Now, PC Mag published an article on a product he invented! 🎊 Huge thanks to Pamela Kalish for testing and Jon Kalish for writing a detailed assessment of the experience. Real-time captioning experiences are far from perfect. Despite some glitches, Pamela concluded, “I think they're a miraculous breakthrough.” We couldn't ask for more! https://www.pcmag.com/articles/wife-profound-hearing-loss-xander-smart-captioning-glasses-likes-dislikes #

Xander Captioning Glasses are 'a miraculous breakthrough,' my wife concluded after a brief road test. But there are a few things to know before forking over $5,000 for a pair of your own.
