Stormwater discharge may be more than just runoff; it could fall under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).

If your construction or industrial activity involves water discharge, ECS can help guide you through the process.

Materials hold stories, whether it is a bridge standing strong for decades or a structure revealing hidden weaknesses.

For engineers, architects and project leaders, understanding those stories through material intelligence is key to advancing smarter, more resilient and sustainable infrastructure.

From forensic analysis of failures to AI-designed, low-carbon, self-healing concrete, material science is reshaping the built environment. This is more than innovation; it is the future of leadership in our industry.

What you cannot see in a building often matters most.

Asbestos and lead can hide behind walls, ceilings and flooring materials once common in construction but now known for their risks. At ECS, our surveys help uncover these hazards before they affect workers, occupants or surrounding communities.

Through detailed evaluations and regulatory compliance knowledge, our team provides clarity for safer spaces and smarter decisions. From older properties to large-scale projects, we help clients understand what is inside their buildings so they can move forward responsibly.

A great way to wrap up a busy first quarter.

Our Dallas and McKinney teams spent the evening together at our Spring Social, taking time to connect outside of the office and reflect on the work accomplished together. It was a chance to enjoy the moment, build relationships and strengthen the culture that keeps our teams connected.

We’re proud of the people who make this all possible.

Before the build begins, the ground tells the story.

At Truist Stadium, home of the Winston-Salem Dash, ECS evaluated subsurface conditions during stadium renovations. Using subsurface exploration, geotechnical engineering, laboratory testing and special inspections, the team addressed loose soils and prepared the site for construction.

With the right data and approach, challenges turned into clear next steps.

Take a closer look at the project.

We recently spent time in the classroom at Villanova University connecting with the next generation of engineers and business leaders.

Across two sessions, conversations focused on circularity, material intelligence and how AEC firms evaluate performance beyond traditional metrics. Students brought thoughtful perspectives on AI, workforce trends and what meaningful growth looks like in today’s environment.

One idea stood out: strong judgment still matters. Technology may scale information, but experience and perspective shape how it is applied.

We are grateful for the opportunity to engage with faculty, students and partners. Experiences like this reflect the collaborative culture at ECS Group of Companies.

A great day on the course and a meaningful cause.

Last week, the ECS Group of Companies team took part in the 25th Annual Builder’s Foundation Golf Tournament at Chantilly National Golf & Country Club and finished the outing in first place.

The event brought together professionals from across the industry to support programs focused on recreation, medical assistance, housing and education.
